Croydon Airport with a vintage style Bedford SB in front of it. The weekend holdall is drawn from a real bag owned by Amy Johnson, an English pilot, who was the first female to fly to Australia single-handed. I saw her bag on a Croydon Aerodrome tour, and I was inspired by her story. I thoroughly recommend you visit Croydon Aerodrome. 

It is important to note that, as with all my illustrations, I use artistic license and have used historic photo research to draw this. Croydon Airport has evolved over the years. And I have used my favourite elements from each age.
